Custom Forest Bamboo Meditation Flutes In Unique Bamboo Species

Transverse flutes featuring 4, 5, and 6 tone hole tuning systems in Oriental scales, middle Eastern scales and Ragas from India.

I am curing different species of bamboo I build from and am burning the tone holes of my newest flutes with an Ahoken burning stick. I heat the bamboo and color it with a propane torch. I have made a few new burning rods and I will have pages devoted to showing you how I make these flutes for you in my workshop.

All flutes are built from either cured green bamboo, cured Chinese Tonkin bamboo or cured California bamboo species.

Most all of my flute designs are based on the David Carradine design model [bamboo flute can rest on the left shoulder] and built in the ancient tradition of the master bansuri flute builders from India. Fire is used within the building process for hardening the bamboo and for burning the tone holes. The fire element makes the bamboo flutes sound amazing! Many new flute designs are in the works! A nice looking dark or red stain finish and a selection of cured species of bamboo. One new Alder Wood Native flute design has been added to the catalog.
